Proverbs 17:17 says...A friend loves at all times. This means that no matter what faults a friend may have or how many times they hurt you. You are always ready to forgive, first of all because you are honest with youself, and are a true friend who really cares for them. Jesus said to the people who crucified Him (Luke 23:43)
..."Father forgive them for they know not what they do". He sacrificed His life for people who hated Him, and showed His love through the ultimate sacrifice on the cross. If you say you are a friend then why do you try to hurt or put your friends down, especially when you know they care about you. But we know that if this was done to Jesus, God's son, then we will not get any better treatment than what He recieved from those He cared so deeply about. God shows us that love is self-sacrifice, it is never ending, and always forgives. We ought to be good friends to those that are good to us even if they hurt us... the bible says... that there is no law against love. Love covers up a multitude of sins...in other words it sees no wrong because it cares too much.
